Homer's Tango Games:
These are some of my favorite games that I like to use as part of my regular classes.   It's a good idea to give the students alittle time, inbetween most of these games, to discuss the tango implications (if any)?!   They are designed for All Levels.   Class time can vary, but 1.5 hrs is recommended.

Great Description (written by Tova Moreno):
Think of this workshop as the spoonful of sugar that helps the medicine go down.   You will work on tango skills such as balance, creativity and connection through a variety of playful exercises led by the masters of tango games.   Learn activities you can use later to practice with a partner.   Have a more equal dose of concentration and laughter - tango is supposed to be fun, remember?

Here is a list of the most popular Tango games that I like to use:
  1. Human Colgada (forward facing)
  2. Balance the Floor (wood on ball)
  3. Actor's Walk (multi-speed)
  4. Blind Tango (everyone's eyes closed, follow L.O.D.)
  5. Stare into each other (for 30 seconds)
  6. Jealousy - Focus on Someone Else (switch Target half-way through song)
  7. I am Here! (from Komala Vos)
  8. Tango Tag (from Jaimes Friedgen with variations)
  9. Tango Seranade (eyes closed, no touching, spaced out)
  10. Tango Accident (simple & complex)
  11. Tango Now (from Rebecca Shulman)
  12. Capture the Moon (from Jaimes Friedgen with variations)
  13. Jedi Night Game (another game based on the mind of Jaimes)
  14. I shall Not be Moved (or Horse and Chariot)
  15. Back-to-Back
  16. Sacada Game (add constraints)
  17. That's a Wrap Game (several versions with up to 4 students)
  18. Human Colgada (facing away)

Additional Games (to be used during, or substituted into, the Tango Games class) as follows:
  1. Human Magnet (Tango Attraction Game)
  2. Human Trust (Blues Falling Game)
  3. Clap/Hum - Staccato/Legato Game
  4. There are many many more...to be added one day!!!
